Our Story and Vision
Riceye — The Art of Dining Rice
We created the Riceye project to satisfy our customers' culinary curiosity and to share the wonder that Kaiseki, an authentic artistic dining practice born in Japan, can bring to their dining experiences at home.
Our choice of the name "Riceye" was inspired by its visual connotations and the mindset it evokes — an eye for beauty along with aesthetics grounded in simplicity. In other words, delving into the simplicity of rice and exploring what can capture its true essence.
At Riceye, we aim to offer a complete dining experience “beyond the palate”, with a comprehensive experience that extends “to the atmosphere” through our genuine quality tools and table wares. Delighting guests by creating an ambiance in which they feel utterly relaxed and content was and still is a fundamental aspect of the Japanese tea ceremony. This principle forms the foundation of “Kaiseki” as well.
Kaiseki — mindful dining — involves savoring each bite, being present in the moment, and appreciating the flavors and textures of the meal. Elegantly plated food creates a relaxing and aesthetically pleasing experience that promotes joy, tranquility, and harmony.
