Refund policy

Thank you for shopping at riceye.jp. If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with a purchase, we invite you to review our policy on refunds and cancellations.

General Terms

The following terms are applicable for any products that you purchase with us.

  • After placing an order, you only have 12 hours to cancel or modify it.
  • After receiving the order, we can accept requests for a refund or replacement in the following instances only:
    • the item shipped is not the item ordered
    • the item shipped is defective
    • the item shipped is damaged.
  • Other personal or subjective reasons are not acceptable.

We are not able to refund, replace, or exchange perishable goods.

We only accept any claim or request for a refund or replacement within fourteen days of the delivery of purchased items. We do not accept any claim or request for a refund or replacement after fourteen days.

To be eligible for a refund or replacement, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the invoice or proof of purchase.

Damages and Issues

Please check your package for any damage upon delivery. If there is any visible damage on the outside of the package, make a record with the delivery agent before accepting the package, and take photos of the damaged package before and during opening.

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged or if you received the wrong item so we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Please always include pictures of the damage or mistake in your complaint.

We are unable to accept any complaints after 14 days of delivery.

All our packages are sent as FOB (Free on Board), a term in international commercial law meaning that as soon as the shipment of goods leaves our warehouse, we record the sale as complete. You own the products en route as a buyer and assume responsibility for completing the customs clearance and managing the final delivery. That also means that if the package is lost or damaged in transit, you must file any claims for reimbursement.

Exceptions / Non-returnable Items

Certain items, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants) or custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), cannot be refunded. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Replacement

Please note that as some of the products we offer are unique, one-of-a-kind pieces, in some cases, we are unable to comply with replacement requests and can only provide a refund, or there might be slight differences between the original product and the replacement. In these cases, we will inform you about the change or difference.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received your request for a refund and let you know if the refund was approved. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember that it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

Cancellation

Canceling an order or replacing or canceling a purchased item in an order is only possible within 12 hours after the order was placed. Please carefully consider your purchase before ordering.

We reserve the right to correct, update, or change this refund and cancellation policy without notification.
