Genmaicha is a blend using 50% roasted brown rice and sencha tea leaves. It is a charismatic and refreshing tea with pleasant toasty background notes.

Place of Origin: Kyoto, Japan
Tea Cultivar: Yabukita, Kanayamidori

HOW TO PREPARE
The tea goes three great steeps.
For the first infusion, use 6 g (0.2 oz) tea leaves, 85°C (185 °F) 250 ml (8.5 fl oz) water and steep for 30 seconds. For the second brew, hotter water and steep for around 10 seconds. The third brew can be a longer steep (about 45 seconds).

STEP 1) Fill your pot with tea leaves in a 5g/250ml ratio.
STEP 2) Cool boiled water down to 85℃, pour it on the leaves, and brew for 30 seconds.
STEP 3) Serve. Pour an equal amount of tea into the cups.
STEP 4) Brew again.
