Matcha iri Genmaicha is a special gourmet blend of sencha leaves, powdered green tea and roasted brown rice. Tea bushes are exposed to direct sunlight therefore the taste is characteristic and refreshing with a very pleasant roasted aroma of brown rice. It is a well vitalizing tea with nice fragrance.
HOW TO PREPARE
The tea goes three great steeps.
For the first infusion, use 5 g (0.17 oz) tea leaves, 85°C (185°F) 250 ml (8.5 fl oz) water and steep for 30 seconds. For the second brew, increase the temperature to 90°C (194°F) and steep for around 10 seconds. The third brew can be a longer steep (about 45 seconds) with 90°C (194°F) water.
